When Reese Witherspoon filed for divorce in October from Ryan Phillippe many were shocked as the two seemed like the perfect couple. It had been reported that Ryan had cheated with his Australian co-star Abi Cornish 24 while on the set of Stop Loss. Now it appears that Ryan is seeing the error of his ways and wants Reese back. A source tells Life and Style Weekly magazine:

However Ryan might have seen the error of his ways too late. America’s sweetheart Reese is rumoured to be cozying up to Kirsten Dunst’s ex Jake Gyllenhaal on the set of their new film Rendition. Reportedly the Legally Blonde star had banned all mobile phones and camera from the set to stop stories getting out.
Although Ryan desperately wants to give his marriage another go, Reese has allegedly been growing close to Jake Gyllenhaal on the set of their new film ‘Rendition’.
Reese and Ryan have a 2 children together, Ava 7 and Deacon 3. Reese has applied for custody but with visitation rights granted to her husband.

Lindsay Lohan may be a wild child who has a liking for bad boys but at least she has some semblance for taste. US Weekly report that Kevin Federline tried it on with Lohan via text.

“On December 22, less than a month after ex Britney Spears partied with Lindsay Lohan, the aspiring rapper, 28, texted the actress, 20, suggesting, “We should hang out”.

Lindsay didn’t respond perhaps as K-Fed would have wanted, replying

“Why would I hang out with you?” and so Britney’s ex replied maturely calling her a “fire crotch”.

Lindsay’s friends told US, “She was totally grossed out…She thought it was hilarious”.

In other Lindsay news TMZ has confirmed that she has undergone an operation to remove her appendix.

Lindsay’s rep Leslie Sloane said she had been feeling well and went to the doctor yesterday.  After performing tests it was decided to remove her appendix as a precaution.  Sloane says Lindsay is resting now.

Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson made headlines in Ireland in 2005 when they got married in Tipperary. However news is surfacing that burlesque super star and shock goth rocker’s marriage is over and done with. Apparently Dita filed for divorce before Christmas but as she could not even get in contact with Manson he is unaware of this. Now sources at Page 6 are reporting that today Manson whose real name is Biran Warner will be served with the papers at the LA studio he is currently recording his new album. Von Teese has apparently cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason why.

A friend of Von Teese has spoken out:

“He’s not been responsive…She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can’t even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can’t even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn’t even noticed.”Allegedly Manson has been drinking very heavily but even though according to friends, “She really tried to make this work”, it has all become too much for his wife.

Even though Justin and Cameron’s break-up has yet to be confirmed officially, everybody’s speculating who the SexyBack singer will hook up with next. He spend New Year’s at a party at the home of Kate Hudson who is recently divorced and whose new relationship with Owen Wilson is reportedly over also.

Perez Hilton is reporting that Scarlett Johansson may be a new love interest for Justin. The uber-sexy star recently shot the video with Timberlake for his new music video, What Goes Around (Comes Around). Although the vide shoot is over the two have been seen together since. Rumour is also that Scarlett made an appearance at the after-premiere party for Justin’s new movie on Wednesday at Social Hollywood in LA. I wonder why she chose to sneak in the back star. Hilton’s sources saw the two “chatting intimately for a good solid hour at the after-party”. Also Justin’s mum who is very close to her son joined in the conversation. Reportedly Justin’s mother never really liked the lovely Cameron.

However the New York Daily News reports that it is one Veronica Finn who Justin has been spending his time with since the split. Veronica a 25 year old blond real estate broker used to sing in “Innosence“, a girl group Justin‘s mom managed. The once dated pre-Britney. Ironically Britney was even a member of the group for a short time. Justin and Veronica have remained close friends and when Justin returned home to Tennessee for Christmas he apparently rang her to come over. Eyewitnesses saw the two joined by Justin’s mother and his step dad at PF Chang’s restaurant in Memphis. According to Star Magazine, Justin was seen giving he a warm kiss on the cheek and squeezing her hand repeatedly.

Either way I think it’s safe to say we won’t be seeing Britney and Justin re-uniting any time soon.

Britney has decided to address her fans on her website in response to reports of further hard partying, feinting, drugs, drinking and every other available vice.

“Dear Fans…I’ve been working so hard on this new album and I can’t wait for you all to hear it and to go on tour again! I would like to exclusively tell you that I am working hard to release the new album sometime later this year, but the date is of course not certain yet…

If I were you I’d be unhappy too if I had to read what I’ve been reading every day. But trust me, I get it. I know I’ve been far from perfect and the media has had a lot of fun exaggerating my every move, but I want you all to know that I love my fans so much, and I appreciate everything you have done for me, so Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”

While everyone is hoping that Britney will pull herself together and put out a new album, famed American gossip columnist suggests that none of us should spend 2007 holding out breath.

“While in New York she was in the studio recording for Jive Records. She worked some nights until 4 a.m. laying down tracks for a new CD. She thinks it’s the makings of a really great album. They don’t. The recording has stopped midway. Nothing more’s been done because the company doesn’t yet know what it wants to do. But that recent front page ain’t helping [Britney feinting/falling asleep/passing out in LA on New Years].”

Cindy also contacted Britney’s manager who commented from a beach in Mexico where he was holidaying:

“I don’t know where your information came from, but I can only tell you we’re in the middle of recording an album. And you can quote me on that.”

      On Saturday, December 30, 2006, Michael Jackson was one of the celebrities who attended The Godfather of Soul’s funeral  - James Brown.
 
            Rev Al Sharpton led the eulogy and told the 9000 mourners that James Brown would have wanted Michael Jackson at the funeral. Brown did not care what the media says.
 
Jackson eulogized the man who Jackson dubbed as “his greatest inspiration”. Michael Jackson also told the crowd when he first saw James Brown’s performance that he was electrified. “When I saw him performing, I knew that I wanted to do that for the rest of my life.”
 
The mourners rose to their feet and gave Jackson a standing ovation. 
 
Those who were in attendance at Brown’s funeral were Dick Gregory, Rev. Jesse Jackson, family, friends and countless fans.
 

Next week, pop diva, Whitney Houston, will sale some her personal belongings at an auction. These items were used in past tours that Ms. Houston no longer needs. The things that will be sold at the auction range from music equipment to intimate apparel. 

No one really knows the reason for the sale. Some media sources speculate that she needed to pay creditors. However, her publicist is not any aware of any outstanding debts. 

It has only been two months since Katie Holmes became Mrs Tom Cruise, however In Touch Magazine are reporting that all may not be happy in their Scientology paradise. Tom’s overly controlling nature is rumoured to be the source of friction. He allegedly puts a limit on how much time Katie (whom he refers to as Kate) can spend on the phone and is encouraging her to give up her own hobbies for shopping and attending his kids sporting events.

Apparently this type of behaviour isn’t something new within the relationship. At TomKat’s LA wedding reception, Katie got chatting to fellow young actors Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom. They trio were making plans to go to Hyde nightclub (a hotspot for young Hollywood) but Cruise put Katie in her place. He told her that,

“it was not the place for him or her to go”.

In Touch’s sources said Katie, “looked really embarrassed…It was like she’d just gotten into trouble”.

The marketers of Anna Nicole Smith’s employer, TrimSpa, will pay a $1.5 Million Dollar fine to defray FTC claims that their weight loss promises were not scientifically proven.
The company used the slogan,  “TrimSpa Completely Ephedra Free Formula X32” on their products that appeared on television, radio and print media.  One of their testimonials displayed in their advertisements, was Anna’s testimonial that claimed that the celebrity lost almost seventy pounds in eight months by using the product.
The Federal Trade Commission has order the marketers of TrimSpa, Goen Technologies Corp., Nutramenerica Corp., TrimSpa, Inc. and Alexander Szynalski (a.k.a Alexander Goen) based in Whippany, N.J, to pay the $1.5 million.
The FTC agreement banned TrimSpa from making any type of claims about the product that is not supported by proficient and dependable scientific evidence.
At this time, it is not known how Anna Nicole Smith, TrimSpa and their marketers will be affected by this action.  

On Thursday, January 4, 2007, a woman sued Oprah Winfrey’s studio, Harpo Productions. Tayna Milner, a member of the audience, claimed that she was injured during a taping of the syndicated talk show.
 
            Milner said she was pushed down some stairs near a waiting area during a mad rush for seats on April 11, 2006. She also blamed the Chicago-based studio for not properly controlling the other audience members before the taping, according to a lawsuit filed at the Cook County Circuit Court and an article in The Chicago Tribune.  Milner is seeking $50, 000 in damages.
 
            According to Associated Press, both parties were not available for comment.
