The Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang tour is the ‘top-grossing tour in history’, Billboard magazine has reported. Since August 2005, the band have grossed $437m, playing 110 shows in front of 3.5 million fans.

The Stones’ success comes despite the tour being dogged by delays and cancellations due to throat problems for lead singer Sir Mick Jagger, 63.

The tour was also postponed when guitarist Keith Richards fell from a tree while on holiday in Fiji.

Earlier this month, the band postponed five concerts and cancelled what was to be the final date of the tour in Honolulu, Hawaii, after Sir Mick was advised to take four days off to help him recover from laryingitis.

Sir Mick also returned briefly to the UK two weeks ago to spend time with his father Joe Jagger, who was in hospital and later died aged 93 of pneumonia.

The Stones have been supported on tour by big names including Kanye West, Van Morrison and Alice Cooper.

The band’s tour record does not include a free concert in front of two million fans on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in February.

Irish rock group U2 previously held the record for the top-grossing tour, according to Billboard.

After a long sabbatical from the silver screen, actress Karisma Kapoor will stage a comeback in films very soon.

Karisma will star opposite Sanjay Suri in filmmaker Onir’s next movie You and I.

The film will be a romantic story based on adventure sports and will be shot at exotic locations. It is likely to go on the floors next year.

Karisma had taken a long break from her acting career after her marriage to Delhi-based businessman Sanjay Kapur and the birth of her daughter Samaira.

She has been seen in several advertisements in the past year and had said she was looking at scripts to make a comeback in acting.

Onir’s debut film My Brother Nikhil was acclaimed by critics and audiences, and he followed it up with Bas Ek Pal, a movie on extra-marital relations.
Onir’s second movie did not get as positive response as his first movie did.

Karisma was last seen in Bollywood in the utterly forgettable movie Mere Jeevan Saathi.

It seems Kate Moss off late has started suffering from the ‘Dorian Gray’ syndrome, for she has reportedly hung up mirrors all over her house to monitor any signs of wrinkles.

The supermodel, 32, is paranoid she is starting to lose her youthful looks, and is determined to take all possible measures to slow the ageing process. Moss, apart from having mirrors, drinks two litres of water a day, eats organic food, has detox days every month and is scheduling early bedtimes.

“The paranoia about her age is creeping in. Her big issue is stopping wrinkles and she knows her skin can appear spotty,” Hollywood Rag quoted a source, as telling Britain’s Grazia magazine.

“She has mirrors all over her house and keeps examining her face in a magnified one under different lights to check how her skin is ageing. Pete just thinks it’s ridiculous and constantly reassures her that she’s gorgeous,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Kate Moss - who is currently the face of makeup company Rimmel, is also thinking of en-cashing in on her new found image by turning into an entrepreneur, with a new range of her own beauty products.

The Oasis guitarist/songwriter, Noel Gallagher has reignited his bitter battle with arch-rival Robbie Williams, predicting the troubled pop star will eventually kill himself and he would be happy offering to help him load the gun.

In an exclusive interview, Noel was asked by Sun readers to choose who he would aim at if he had a gun with only one bullet: Phil Collins or former Take That singer Robbie, to which he replied by saying: “I don’t give a f*** about Phil Collins. I wouldn’t shoot him. I do think he’s a bit of a knob, though.”

Not just bikes, bikinis and nail-biting chases, Sanjay Gadhvi’s movie Dhoom 2 promises a perfect recipe for adrenalin rush.

Gadhvi says he wanted to make a well-balanced, wholesome entertainer that has something new and interesting happening after every five-six minutes to keep the viewers absolutely glued to the screen.

Made at almost three times the budget of Dhoom, the sequel features some stunts and actions hitherto unseen in Indian cinema. And all these stunts have been done by the actors themselves.

Sample these: Hrithik Roshan flying down with a parachute and landing on a moving train. Or Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik free-falling into a gorge from a height of 500 metres. Or Bipasha Basu hanging on a steep wall 100 feet high. Or Abhishek Bachchan riding a jet-ski on a rough sea. Or Uday Chopra driving a bike at great speed inside a tunnel. And these are just a few vignettes.

Besides the bikes, there are bikinis too, courtesy Ash and Bips. This glamour combined with grit makes for a heady mix for the viewers.

But more than anything, ‘Dhoom 2’ will break two stereotypes. Ash and Hrithik, who have so far done goody-goody roles only, now step on the wrong side of law to pull off some of the most daring robberies in the film.

Hrithik says he got hooked to his role the minute Sanjay Gadhvi narrated it to him. He also makes it clear that his stunts in ‘Dhoom 2’ are far more daring than what he did in Krrish .

Action, stunts, romance, robberies, drama, music and a few surprises, this Yash Raj film looks poised to live up to its name.

ASH PROMPTED ABHISHEK TO SLIM DOWN

Inspired by Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan also hit the gym to get in shape for his role in Dhoom 2.

Both Ash and Abhi began shooting for Sanjay Gadhvi’s movie after working together in Mani Ratnam’s Guru, which required both of them to look chubby.

While Aditya Chopra (producer of ‘Dhoom 2’) insistently asked Ash to slim down to play the clever and cunning Sunehri opposite already-in-shape Hrithik Roshan, Chopra was a bit lenient on Abhishek. But Ash was not.

It was Ash who reportedly prompted him to work out along with her. She also assigned her personal instructor, Deepika Mehta, to Abhishek to help him flatten the protruding belly that he had to develop for ‘Guru’.

Ash and Abhi worked out together for about two weeks. And the great irony is that while doing exercises together in the gym they would also make plans for dinner.

Luckily, they practiced frugality in food for a month. And the result was visible. Ash fitted perfectly into her slinky outfits in the film, while Abhishek too was leaner than his previous self.

Even a lucrative offer of 500,000 dollars could not tempt Nelly Furtado enough to bare her assests for public viewing, for she reveals she once turned down the amount to pose nude in Playboy.

The Promiscuous singer admits she seriously considered stripping off in the publication’s pages of the world famous men’s magazine, but later dismissed the idea so that her future lovers have something to look forward.

Partying non-stop over the last week has apparently taken its toll on big socialite Paris Hilton.

The hotel heiress was rushed to hospital after her recent partying left her feeling sick. The 25-year-old blonde has allegedly partied all across the world in the last week, and onlookers say if she continues to party like this, she’s bound to fall terribly sick soon.

While she started her week carousing into the early hours with Daniel Craig at the Bond Premiere and Michael Jackson at the WMAS in London, it was her boozy weekend with new pal Britney Spears which seems to have tipped her over the edge.

She also threw up on stage at the launch party of Jay-Z new album, but even that didn’t stop her from turning up at the Quack’s on Tuesday, looking delicate and clinging to a white towel. Later that evening, after resting for a couple of hours, Hilton was seen attending the American Music Awards, ignoring doctors advice to take things easy by partying all night.

“If Paris was sick she hid it well. At the end of the night she invited everyone back to her Hollywood home for a party. She definitely wasn’t taking things easy,” the Sun quoted an insider, as saying.

Like everyone else, vivacious Bipasha Basu is also looking forward to the release of her much-talked-about film Dhoom2.

The Bengali beauty plays a cop in the film and says she enjoyed it to the core. “The timing was fantastic for me because I was getting fit so I guess Adi chose me because I fitted into the physique of the character. It was a sheer delight to be the part of this film,” she evinces.

Being an adventurous person, Bipasha always wanted to be a part of an action flick. “I had forced myself to get comfortable with Bollywood naach gaana because initially I could not identify myself with doing that. But then I understood that the essence of Bollywood is naach gaana and yet with time I can always choose to do different kinds of role,” she explains.

So how was it shooting in bikini? “I did my bikini shot in Durban and let me tell you, shooting in a bikini is not easy,” comes the quick confession. She further adds, “It is just not about being conscious but about the fitness level you have to reach. And three days of eating oranges, working out thrice a day and going paranoid, ‘am I fat’.

I did not want to look very oomphy I wanted to look athletic, I do not know what the final result is, but for me I wanted to be a Cameron Diaz, I did not want to be a Pamela Anderson.” The dusky actress also gives due credit to the director for making her bikini look very athletic.

“It is difficult working out so many times a day and not eating when everyone is gorging on food,” she recollects with a smile.

Enraged Jamie Foxx has threatened to physically harm former Seinfeld star Michael Richards if the pair ever meet after the comedian stunned America with a racist rant during a recent stand-up show.

Richards has publicly apologized for remarks he made about two African-American hecklers during a performance at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood on Friday night–but that’s not enough for Foxx.

The Oscar winner, who was once a mainstay of the Los Angeles comedy circuit, admits he was particularly offended by Richards’ remarks.

He says, “When I see him, it’s on. I’m not going to let him get away with it.”

“If I’d have been in the audience he would’ve had to put his dukes up. He probably should go get a private island somewhere, cause if I see him…”
